Your help please.SilverFast (Epson) is LaserSoft's software for Epson scanners. Considering I have told it the frames are 35mm film strip it would seem the software is not making basic checks on the frames it thinks it has found.Īm I doing something wrong or is this the best currently available in Silverfast? I have 10 years of my 35mm negatives to Scan (2000 plus frames) and if this is so then I will have to ignore silverfast and use Epson's own scan software otherwise it will take me a life time to complete in Silverfast. The frames it draws are often different sizes and different aspect ratios, often not even the correct aspect ratio for 35mm negatives. Silverfast finds the strips but very incorectly locates the frames within the strips. The epson scan software finds the frames perfectly everytime, but Silverfast does not. I am scanning 35mm negatives strips (4 strips at a time, 4 frames per strip) using the Epson Holder, and select the 'Film Strip 35mm holder' option. I am also having unuseable results with the 'Find Image Frames' button in the latest version of Silverfast AI.
